The PanelistsMary Jo is in her second term as State Representative for the 148th legislative district. This term she serves on five standing committees: Appropriations, Aging and Older Adult Services, Finance, Health and State Government.
Mary Jo has a long-term interest in seeing more women elected officials. She is a founding member and co-chair of Emerge Pennsylvania, a new organization established in Pennsylvania in 2015 to recruit, train and mentor women to run for public office. For more than 20 years Mary Jo has spent a vast amount of energy supporting women who have run for office to ensure that women have a seat at the table and a vote on decisions that affect women. Representative Sheryl M. Delozier is currently serving her fifth, two-year term in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives on behalf of the residents of the 88th Legislative District in Cumberland County, which includes Lower Allen and Upper Allen townships; Lemoyne, Mechanicsburg, New Cumberland, Shiremanstown and Wormleysburg boroughs.
Sheryl currently serves on the Appropriations, Judiciary, Labor and Industry, and Tourism and Recreational Development committees. She is also a member of the House Ethics Committee. Sheryl has been a longtime volunteer for the Area M Special Olympics. She attends St. Stephen Episcopal Cathedral, where she teaches Junior Achievement to the second grade at St. Stephens Cathedral School. Sheryl is married to Christopher Delozier and they have two children, Benjamin and Allison. They currently reside in Lower Allen Township in Cumberland County. Representative Patty Kim, a former news anchor and reporter and Harrisburg City Councilwoman, was first elected to the state House of Representatives in 2012 and has been a leader in government reform and transparency. Kim serves on the Appropriations, Education, Local Government, Urban Affairs, and Transportation committees. She is Vice Co-Chair of the Southeast Delegation. During her second term, she served as Treasurer for the Legislative Black Caucus.
Prior to her work in the legislature, Kim was elected to Harrisburg's City Council where she served two terms. She was elected as council Vice President by her colleagues during her second term. A 1995 graduate of Boston College, Kim is married to John Sider and together they have two children, Brielle and Ryan. |
