ENGAGING YOUNG PHILADELPHIA IN POLITICS

PA Women's Forum
This February, the PA Women's Forum brings its quarterly public policy luncheon series to Philadelphia. Join us for an engaging conversation over lunch with a diverse panel of young Philadelphians who will share their efforts, successes, and challenges engaging young people in the political process.

The Panelists

  • Jen Devor, staff member at Campus Philly (an organization looking to connect college students to the Philadelphia region) and an active Democratic committee person.
  • Anna Orso, reporter who covers politics for Billy Penn, an online publication targeted to millennials.
  • Omar Woodard, Executive Director of the Greenlight Fund and former candidate for a state house seat.
  • Kellan White, political consultant and co-founder of the Pattison Leader Group, organized to encourage young folks to get involved in politics (and named after PA's two youngest governors).
  • Sulaiman Rahman, co-founder of Urban Philly Professionals Network and founder of an initiative called Black Voters Matter, which is actively encouraging young African Americans to run for office.
